Here are the top three stories in Dacula today:

  1. The Gwinnett County Health Department has released its most recent round of restaurant inspections. The department gave Dacula's Huey Magoo's location a 96 score when it was inspected on Aug. 12. Click the following link for the full list of inspections and scores. (Gwinnett Daily Post)
  2. The Gwinnett County Police Department reports that a Georgia State University Campus Police officer has been charged with rape, kidnapping, false imprisonment, and violation of oath of office. Terry Payne allegedly drugged and raped an individual during a date on Aug. 5. He turned himself into the Gwinnett County Detention Center after being notified of the charges. (Fox News)
  3. Gwinnett County Public Schools has dropped its mask mandate for district employees. The policy change was announced on Friday in response to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Preventions COVID-19 designation. Gwinnett County was moved from the "high" designation to the "medium" designation. The mask mandate was implemented in late July. (Gwinnett Daily Post)
