Scheduled Gwinnett Water Rate Increase To Begin In January 2019

A Gwinnett water rate increase will be used to continue inspecting, maintaining and repairing the growing water and sewer infrastructure.

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA – Effective January 2019, a regularly scheduled rate increase will be implemented as the result of a water rate resolution approved by the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners and the Gwinnett County Water and Sewerage Authority in 2015.

This increase will be used to continue inspecting, maintaining, and repairing the growing water and sewer infrastructure in Gwinnett County, ensuring reliable water and wastewater service for existing and future customers.

All irrigation and builder accounts will be billed at two times the tier-one volumetric rate ($9.98 per 1,000 gallons) for all water passing through the water meter per billing period.
