Here are the top three stories today in Dacula:

  1. The City of Dacula has released a public notice regarding a worksession meeting on Wednesday. According to the public notice, the meeting will begin at 5:00 p.m. at Dacula City Hall on Harbins Road. The meeting will consist of a quorum of members. (Gwinnettdailypost.com)
  2. The Gwinnett County Chamber received a warning about State Route 316 construction on Wednesday. Georgia Department of Transportation Commissioner Russell McMurry made the announcement during the Chamber's luncheon. According to McMurry, State Route 316 will be under heavy construction starting mid-2024. There will be three simultaneous projects on State Route 316 which will make it a limited-access highway all the way to Athens. (Gwinnettdailypost.com)
  3. Kiddie Academy of Dacula will be hosting "Play Day for a Cause" on Saturday, Oct. 15. This free event is meant for children younger than school-age. Participants will enjoy developmentally appropriate obstacle courses, races, hand-eye-coordination games, and more. "Play Day for a Cause" will be from 10:00 a.m. to noon. (Patch.com)
