Here are the top three stories today in Dacula:
- Gwinnett County has extended the Transit Development Plan survey through Aug. 21. The survey is meant to collect public input on the region's current transit options while evaluating future changes. - Newly released body camera footage reveals a Gwinnett County Police Department officer responded hours before a victim was allegedly raped by a Georgia State University campus police officer. The officer was called to a restaurant when the restaurant's security noticed that the woman became incoherent after one sip of her drink. The department is being criticized for not doing more to prevent the incident. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
- The City of Dacula has scheduled a special called meeting for Sunday, Aug. 21. The meeting is reportedly needed to discuss ongoing personnel matters. The meeting will be held in Dacula City Hall on Harbins Road beginning at 3:00 p.m. (City of Dacula)
