🌱 Wind Advisory + Public Safety Fall Festival Postponed

Here are the top three stories today in Dacula:

1. The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for Gwinnett County. The advisory reports that wind gusts up to 35 miles per hour could impact the county as Tropical Storm Ian hits Georgia. The county is also under a high fire danger alert as the tropical storm's high winds can spread fires quickly. (Cobb County Courier)
2. Conservative activists in Gwinnett County are pushing to purge voter rolls ahead of the upcoming General Election. The conservative activists are using a 2021 law passed by the Republican-led Georgia legislature that allows any voter to file an unlimited number of challenges against fellow Georgians' voter registrations. The challenges flooded the Gwinnett County elections office last month. (Erie News Now)
3. Gwinnett County's Public Safety Fall Festival has been postponed due to Tropical Storm Ian. The festival was originally scheduled for this Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The county will announce a new date and time in the coming weeks. (Gwinnett County)
