2. Repaving work. Starting today through Aug. 22, the Georgia DOT is repaving these streets: Avery Street from East College Avenue to Winnona Drive, south end; Fayetteville Road from East Lake Drive to Gordon Street; and Oakview Road from South McDonough Street to West Benson Street.

3. Lowest gas prices. Late Tuesday, the lowest price was $3.37 at RaceTrac at 3858 Covington Highway and QuikTrip 4113 Covington Highway. Prices can chance quickly so look at the Patch gas widget for the best deal in the Decatur and Avondale Estates area.
