Arrested: Decatur Man Wanted In Slaying Near Kroger
Demario Cotton nabbed in Jan. 21 shooting death outside grocery store.

DECATUR, GA -- A murder suspect wanted in the slaying of a 21-year-old man shot near a Kroger grocery store has been arrested, according to DeKalb County Sheriff's jail records show.
Twenty-eight-year-old Demario Cotton of Decatur was still behind bars Tuesday, four days after being arrested by law enforcement.
Cotton was sought in the death of Daryl Phillips, who was fatally wounded on Jan. 21 near the grocery store on Wesley Chapel Road.

When police arrived, Cotton and fellow suspect Chalante Thomas, 21, were on the scene, saying that they were witnesses to the shooting, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Thomas was arrested in January.
