Autopsy Planned In Woman's Shooting Death At Grocery Store

BREAKING: Dorothy Russell, 51, of Statham​ was gunned down outside Ingles grocery store on Friday. Her husband is charged with murder.

DECATUR, GA -- Law enforcement officials are awaiting results from the GBI Crime Lab in Decatur in connection with a weekend slaying that occurred in the parking lot of a grocery store in Auburn, Ga.

In what authorities are calling a domestic dispute, Dorothy Russell, 51, of Statham was gunned down outside Ingles grocery store on Friday. She died on the scene after suffering a gunshot wound while in her vehicle, police said.

She died at the scene, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. An autopsy will be performed at the GBI

Fifty-year-old Darrin Russell, the victim's husband, has been arrested in the slaying, according to Barrow County Sheriff's office deputies.
Russel is charged with murder and is being held in the Barrow County Jail.
