- Want to explore some local food without all the crowds? The Punk Foodie's underground dining calendar features several pop-ups in Avondale Estates. Starting this weekend and running through Tuesday, Chef B. Wilson will be bringing comfort food to Wild Heaven Beer. You can also head over to Olive & Pine for some gorditas tomorrow afternoon. - The Princeton Review recently released its annual ranking of The Best 388 Colleges, as rated by students — and a Decatur college made the list. - The community is mourning the loss of Captain Michael Dwayne Hackney, USMC. 38-year-old Hackney, formerly of Decatur, passed away on Aug. 15 at home surrounded by family. Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur, followed by a 3 p.m. funeral service. (Legacy.com)
