Cat Saved From Decatur House Fire
The American Red Cross was contacted to help five adults after a Weston Drive house fire.
DECATUR, GA — A cat was saved from a house fire Sunday night in the 1200 block of Weston Drive, DeKalb County fire officials said Monday.
DeKalb County Fire Rescue said they saw flames and smoke extending from the back of the home.
Initially, crews were told a person was trapped inside but later determined otherwise. However, the homeowner told fire crews that several pets remained inside of the home, fire officials said.

A cat was rescued and treated, but fire officials did not release the status of the other pets.
No one was injured in the fire, officials said. The American Red Cross was contacted to help five adults, fire officials said.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
