  1. The DeKalb County District Attorney reports that a woman has been convicted for a deadly shooting that occurred in June 2021 at a Decatur hotel. Aushun Price, 37, has been found guilty of malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, and gun possession by a jury. Judge LaTisha Dear Jackson has sentenced her to life in prison without the possibility of parole. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
  2. DeKalb County has added two more advanced voting locations. The new additions are due to the record numbers of voters casting ballots in the 2022 midterm election. According to the county's elections officials, more than 103,000 residents have cast an early ballot this year. The new locations are at Beulah Missionary Baptist Church and the Clarkston Library.   3. The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office will be increasing patrols throughout the county on Monday night for Halloween. The increased patrols will be focused on the areas with known sexual offenders. Parents are encouraged to visit the Sex Offender Registry database before trick-or-treating in their neighborhood. (Decatur-Avondale Estates Patch)
