Decatur Police Warning Of Possible Impersonator
The man allegedly knocked on the door of a Decatur resident and questioned the woman about her vehicle.

DECATUR, GA -- Police have released a sketch of a man suspected to be impersonating an officer. The incident happened back on Nov. 28, 2018, at a Kings Highway residence around 7 pm. The homeowner told police she answered a knock at her door and opened it because she believed the man was a police officer. The woman said the suspect immediately put his foot within the crack of the door so it could not be closed and began questioning her about her vehicle, a black/smoke gray Dodge Challenger, which was parked in her driveway, stating the vehicle might have been connected to recent robberies in the area.
The homeowner said the man never verbally stated he was an officer but gave the appearance of one, wearing clothing that was tactical in nature and wearing a gold badge on his hip. The man left the location and walked south on Kings Highway.
The homeowner did not see any police vehicles or anything similar to one in the area.
