Decatur Resident Arrested On Road Rage Charges In Brookhaven
Police were responding to reports of gunfire near E. Roxboro and North Druid Hills roads on Thursday.β
BROOKHAVEN, GA -- Police arrested a suspect in a road rage incident in which gunshots were fired near E. Roxboro and North Druid Hills roads on Thursday. The incident happened around 9:30 am. Police said the victim, an Acworth resident, was driving with his wife and three children, ages 6, 4, and 3. He was attempting to merge into traffic and told police he was cut off by the suspect.
Police said the suspect, Knokeisha Tonisha Jones, driving a 2016 Acura from Decatur, admitted to brandishing a weapon, but said it was not fired. Two bullet holes were found in the victimβs vehicle. Police believe between two and seven shots were fired.
Jones was arrested on charges of aggravated assault and cruelty to children.
