DeKalb Watershed Drops Fee For Design Standards
City ends $25 charge for access to policies for future projects.

DECATUR, GA -- If you're a contractor interested in doing a construction and design project with DeKalb County's Watershed Management, the devision has just done you a solid: The county has dropped the $25 fee for access to its design standards.
DeKalb hopes that the free design standards will help businesses align their resources with what the county needs.
The water and sewer design policies will equip vendors with guidance related to construction, specifications and procedures that meet the standards capital improvement and private development projects.

βIt is critical that developers, contractors and engineers reference these design standards to ensure compliance with county codes and regulations,β DWM Director Scott Towler said in a statement.
DWM has eliminated the $25 charge for these standards, which are now available free on the departmentβs website.
