Domestic Violence Info, Call To Action Event: DeKalb DA
The presence of a gun increase the chance of homicide by 500 percent in a domestic violence situation, the DA said.
DECATUR, GA β DeKalb County District Attorney Sherry Boston is holding the ninth annual Community Resource Fair and Symposium, according to a post on her Facebook page.
Boston shared the event alongside stats about domestic violence as October is National Domestic Violence Awareness month.
The symposium, titled "Building Bridges, Making Connections: Survivors on the Margin," will be an informative and engaging event, the DA said.

The event is on Monday, Oct. 28, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Decatur Recreation Center at 231 Sycamore St.
