Teen Charged With Murder After School Fight Turns Deadly
Two teenagers were involved in a fatal shooting Wednesday after a fight at school turned deadly at one of the student's homes.
STONE MOUNTAIN, GA -- A fight at a DeKalb County high school turned deadly Thursday afternoon, when one of the students involved in the altercation allegedly shot and killed the other student at a residence. According to the DeKalb school district, a Stephenson High School 9th grader allegedly shot a 12th grader at the freshman's home. The shooting reportedly stemmed from an altercation at the school.
On Friday, police identified the victim as Phildarious Parrish, 18. Police said Parrish and the suspect got into a fight earlier in the week. On Thursday, Parrish and two others went to the home of a 15-year-old student, when the student shot Parrish, police said.
The 15-year-old has been charged with murder, police said Friday.

βYesterday, a 12th grade student at Stephenson High School was shot and killed by a 9th grade student, also from Stephenson HS, at the 9th grade student's home. This follows an altercation that took place yesterday in the bus lane at the school involving approximately 4 to 5 boys. DeKalb County School District Public Safety and DeKalb County Police are investigating this matter. A crisis team will be at the school in the morning to provide support to students and staff.β
