  1. A freeze warning is in effect for much of the north Georgia area, including DeKalb County.
The freeze warning is in effect until 10 a.m. this morning. The temperatures could affect crops and outdoor plumbing, and people are encouraged to let their faucets drip slowly. (Decaturish.com )
  2. A man's body was found on Oct. 11 in a car on I-285 west and has since been identified as Daniel Booth. As a result, traffic was backed up and lanes were closed. The family told Channel 2 Booth was a Navy veteran and was working as a driver at the time of his death. (Patch)
  3. The Academy of Scholars is a Georgia-based private Christian school serving elementary-aged students both in-person and online. As enrollment surges at the Academy's main campus in Decatur, founder Brian Bolden is looking to open up more participation options. Bolden said, "Our online students get the structure of a traditional private school alongside the flexibility of virtual learning. They enjoy having greater control of their time than they would in a traditional school setting, more opportunities for collaboration, and a more personalized curriculum-all while getting a top-tier private school education."
