Mom Seeks Answers In Death Of DeKalb Teen Found On Roadside
The slaying of Gabriel Swain, 18, remains unsolved. HIs body was found at a DeKalb intersection last July.
DECATUR, GA -- The mother of a teenager who was killed last summer is still searching for answers in his death.
Atlanta-area law enforcement along with Crime Stoppers has issued a fresh appeal to the public this week in an attempt to solve the case.
Eighteen-year-old Gabriel Swain was missing for three days before his body was found near an intersection off Browns Mill Road in DeKalb County. The popular teen had no known enemies, family and friends have told local media.

Swain's mother, Angel Spear, said that the pain of losing her son remains unsurmountable.
βHe was my only child. He was all I had. He was my best friend," she told WSB-TV through tears.

She said that she desperately seeks closure so that she can finally have peace of mind -- and reconciliation.
βIβm angry. Iβm hurt. But, yet, I feel like I can forgive if they would be man enough at this point to come forward,β she told the TV station.
Without any suspects or leads in the case, police believe the slaying may have been motivated by jealousy, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Swain's death is one of 24 unsolved murders that occurred in DeKalb County in 2016.
Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 404 577-TIPS (8477). Even those who remain anonymous can be eligible for a reward.
