DeKalb Schools Makes Weather Decision for Wednesday, March 1

With DeKalb County under a severe thunderstorm warning, school events are affected.

DECATUR, GA -- As inclement weather moves into the metro area, the DeKalb County School District canceled all extracurricular after-school activities on Wednesday, March 1.

The district said that after-school care will be provided for students as scheduled. The changes come as severe storms loomed for much of the region.

The National Weather Service issued a Severe Weather Outlook for a swath of central and north Georgia for the afternoon and evening.

Georgia Forecast: Wet Wednesday

Basketball playoff games involving Miller Grove High School and Lithonia High School will continue as scheduled, the district said.
