Worker Stabbed In Kitchen Of DeKalb Restaurant 'Doing Well'

BREAKING: Pallookaville employee James Thomas endured his second surgery Monday and continues to recover.

AVONDALE ESTATES, GA -- A DeKalb County restaurant employee is on the mend after he was stabbed recently in an attack at work, Patch has learned.

James Thomas was stabbed more than 10 times while working at Pallookaville, a corn dog eatery in Avondale Estates.

He had his second successful surgery Monday and "is doing well," according to a Facebook post by Pallookaville. Patrons and co-workers have rallied around Thomas, who is described as a hardworking and loyal employee.

The DeKalb eatery continues to donate a portion of its daily funds toward Thomas' recovery.
