Big Daddy's Headed for BBQ Festival

The East Cobb-based food truck business will be competing at Brenau University over the Memorial Day weekend.

Press release:

The Big Daddy's Bar-B-Que cook team from Marietta, Ga., will compete in the fifth annual Brenau Barbecue Championship festival May 24-25 on Brenau University's campus in Gainesville, Ga., which features competition categories from the national Memphis Barbecue Network and the Georgia Barbecue Association. Roger Jay is the team captain.

Brenau's annual fundraising event for scholarships is a catalyst for community activity on the Gainesville campus. This is the first year that the event will feature both the MBN and GBA cook teams and the winner from each association will earn an automatic bid to the World Food Championships in Las Vegas with a chance at fame and a piece of $300,000 in prize money. The Big Daddy's Bar-B-Que team is competing in the GBA.
