  1. All six East Cobb high schools will be participating in this year's Cobb County Marching Band Exhibition. The event will be held on Monday, Oct. 10 and Monday, Oct. 17. In total, 17 high school bands will be participating. Bands from the University of South Carolina and University of Georgia will be performing for those in attendance. (East Cobb News)
  2. Some Cobb County residents are concerned renters will be feeling the brunt of the impact from required apartment inspections. Cobb County will begin requiring apartment complexes to hire a certified inspector to evaluate a quarter of the property's units each year. The requirement goes into effect during the 2024 business license renewal cycle. Renters are concerned the requirement will only lead to higher rent prices. (Subscription: AJC.com)
  3. The Marietta Police Department closed Power Ferry Road between Terrell Mill & Delk Road on Monday afternoon. East Cobb travelers were asked to find alternative routes and avoid the area. The road was reportedly closed due to an accident. (East Cobb News)
