Here are the top three stories in East Cobb today:

  1. The Moxie Restaurant Group is opening a new restaurant, while saying goodbye to an old favorite. The East Cobb company has sold its Moxie Taco located at Paper Mill Village. The closing doesn't mean the company is in trouble; they opened their fourth Moxie Burger just last month. Moxie Taco will be rebranded as Green Coyote, and the eatery has plans to feature a taqueria-style menu. (East Cobb News)
  2. A man has been arrested for trespassing in a Cobb County neighborhood. 52-year-old Mark Jason Stubblefield was charged with one count of criminal trespassing after attempting to enter a home in the Atlanta Country Club Estates. According to the homeowner, Stubblefield first went to his neighbor's home, where he touched and kissed two of the residents without consent. When he was denied access to the residence of the homeowner, he became agitated and aggressive. Police have released a video of the encounter at the link. (WSB Atlanta)
  3. On Oct. 8, East Cobb-based Holland Botanical will be selling a cornucopia of fresh produce which will take your home cooking to the next level. The produce service will be selling seasonal items such as pumpkins, gourds, corn stalks, and wheat straw. Visitors will also be able to purchase North Georgia apples, Hillside Orchard jam and jellies, and a variety of local handmade items. Additionally, there will be raffle for a 75-pound pumpkin with all the proceeds going to the Richards Christian Academy. (East Cobb News)
