- On Tuesday, Cobb commissioners voted to grant a liquor license to a new bottle shop. The former residents of the location, Jackie's Wine and Spirits, had previously protested the new store. Habits Bottle Shop, the new tenants, insists that the protest is intended to allow Jackie's to maintain dominance over the area. The new store will be located on Johnson Ferry Road. (East Cobb News)
- If you've been looking for a new house, you're probably tired of searching through endless internet listings. But even the best online listing pales in comparison to visiting the home yourself. - On Thursday, the Cobb Board of Education will vote on whether or not to replace the roof of Mt. Bethel Elementary School in East Cobb. The price tag for the project has made some people have serious misgivings — costing about $2.386 million. Kennesaw Mountain High School has also submitted a request for a $1.14 million roof replacement. Both proposals are expected to be voted on by Thursday evening. (East Cobb News)
- The East Cobb Paper Mill Village is going through some big changes. Plans for the highly-anticipated, two-story Starbucks have been delayed until November. But in happier news, Rose Jasmine and Flower Studio is opening its second location!
