2nd Annual Play Like A Girl Basketball Camp w/ Special Guest Dominique Wilkins

The Police Athletic & Activities League, PAL of Henry County, in
partnership with Henry County Parks and Recreation, the Henry County Police Department and
National PAL
, is excited to announce the 2nd Annual Play Like a Girl Free Basketball Skills
Camp
, set for January 3, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Mt. Carmel Recreation Center
in Hampton, GA
. The camp is open to girls ages 7-18 and promises a fun, educational experience for young athletes looking to improve their basketball skills.


The event will be facilitated by Rushia Brown, a retired WNBA player and founder of ServCom, a sports development organization. Brown will lead a series of drills, exercises, and activities designed to enhance both individual and team basketball skills.
"Our goal is to inspire young girls to develop their basketball abilities, build confidence,
and understand the importance of teamwork and discipline
," said Rushia Brown. "I am thrilled to be a part of an event that empowers girls to excel on and off the court."

In addition, the PAL of Henry County is honored to have as a special guest for this event, Georgia and the Atlanta Hawks' own, nine time NBA All Star, seven time All NBA Team member, the Human Highlight Reel, Dominique Wilkins.

The camp is FREE to attend, and participants are encouraged to bring their own water bottles.
Personal basketballs should be left at home as equipment will be provided. New this year, the program will include a Community Resource Center for family members accompanying camp participants. Resources such as Aligned Chiropractic & Wellness of Stockbridge, Henry County 911 and Henry County Fire Safety, Life Beyond Water Global Outreach and A Friends House are scheduled to participate.
