Woodstock Middle School was awarded $20,000 through the McDonald’s Golden Grants Program this week and plans to use the funding for new technology in the school's Computer Science classroom.

“This award means so much to our students, our school, and our community,” said Eva Holston, the Woodstock Middle School teacher who wrote the grant. “The lab that we will be able to create will change the future of our students for years to come, which will, in turn, impact the economic stability of our community. My class is the first opportunity most of our students have to interact with computer science, so I want it to be a positive learning experience. With this grant, we will be able to grow our computer science program to match the needs and interests of our students.”
