Chattahoochee Lady Cougars Too Much for Lady Chiefs
Lady Chiefs put up a fight but fall in the end to the Chattahoochee Lady Cougars.

With three Division-1 signees on the roster, the Chattahoochee Lady Cougars were heavy favorites going into the region 7 contest against Coach Rick Bragg's Lady Chiefs.
However, the Lady Chiefs were tied for first in the region and had other ideas. The scoring came early and often for Chattahoochee while had trouble getting into a rhythm. Seven first-quarter turnovers led to a quick double-digit lead that was never really in jeopardy.

There were a couple of bright spots for the Lady Chiefs, however. Senior guard led the way with 19 points, making five three-point baskets. Five in a game is second in the record books only to Danielle Donehew who had six.
Fellow senior guard, Emily Caine added 16 points and center Brittnee Jones continued to march her way toward the top of the Sequoyah career rebounding record with 15 more boards in the contest.

Chattahoochee is now tied with Creekview and Lambert atop the region standing while Sequoyah falls to 2-1 in region play and 3-5 overall. The Lady Chiefs will play Cherokee at 6 p.m. Friday at the War Lodge with the Varsity men's game following.
