Holly Springs-Hickory Flat Area Red Cross Blood Drives Coming Up Soon

HOLLY SPRINGS-HICKORY FLAT, GA — The Red Cross is asking people to make a blood donation during the holiday season.

The country's blood supply is at its lowest level in a decade for this time of the year, according to the Red Cross. At least 10,000 donations are needed per week for the next several weeks to meet demand.

People who give blood or plasma between Nov. 29 and Dec. 16 will be entered for a chance to win a private screening of The Matrix Resurrections. The winner plus 50 friends will be able to see the movie in a theater, plus the Red Cross will give the winner a $750 gift card for concessions.

Those who donate between Nov. 29 and Dec. 16 will receive a $10 Amazon.com gift card.
