The owner says quality and customer service are key to running a successful business.

Tracey Satterfield knows about living clean. In fact, it's her business.
After 20 years of owning Live Clean cleaning service, Satterfield considers her customers part of the "family." Ask her for the key to success and she'll tell you that quality and customer service has lead to the longevity of her company.
Patch recently asked Satterfield about Live Clean and what makes it unique; here's what she had to say:

P: How did Live Clean begin; what was the inspiration?
Satterfield: The story behind Live Clean is really simple. Live Clean was built day by day, customer by customer, honesty with integrity, meticulousness with reliability, and a smile on my face. I truly enjoy helping people.

Helping families in Cherokee County for over 20 years has really given me a great sense of pride. I was born and raised right here in Cherokee County myself. I have seen our county grow from an “everybody knows everybody” county to the prosperous county we are today. I am grateful to have earned the trust of so many native Cherokee County families, but at the same time, we are just as thrilled to start helping families who have just moved to Cherokee County. Our commercial business is no different. Developing and keeping the trust of local businesses, is a priceless feeling. In fact, our customer retention rate is a proud 92 percent. It has been over 90 percent for years and years.
With four crews running each and every day, Live Clean is proud to have a large “family” of customers. Our residential customers range from a small elderly couple with very little square footage, to a 15,000+ square foot mansion. Every family has its own unique needs and cleaning challenges. Commercially, the types of businesses we clean can also be just as diverse. We clean everything from dental and medical offices to lumber and construction companies.
One thing that I am most proud of is the spirit in which our company operates. All my ladies are carefully selected. The most important ingredient I look for is attitude and spirit. Everyone must possess a generous, giving spirit to be able to help so many people each day. The highest compliment I receive is when someone says to me “I ran into your ladies today, and they are so wonderful!” Yes, I totally agree!
I fully believe our high quality, good standards and smiling faces are not by accident. They are all carefully guided. Just like the good Lord guides me, there is a grand plan! Thank you to every customer that has been loyal and dedicated to our service.
P: What sets you apart from other cleaning companies in the area?
S: The answer to that is actually very simple. Just plain old fashioned goodness is what sets us apart. Remember years ago when someone’s word or a hand shake meant you fully trusted that person’s word and reputation. I am very proud to say that our company is based on those ethical and moral standards. That is just who I am.
P: Do you get a lot of repeat clients?
S: That is what Live Clean is all about. We have a customer retention rate of over 90 percent for the last 20 years. That is how our business has grown. I am very proud to say I have many customers who have been part of our Live Clean family for years and years.
P: What types of buildings do you help clean?
S: Commercially, there is a wide range of customers. We care for lots of medical type businesses, restaurants, construction and lumber companies, manufacturing plants, independently owned businesses, churches, club houses, animal hospitals, etc. They all come in different shapes and sizes.
Residentially, our type of homes are just as diverse. Small homes, large homes, medium size homes, messy homes, spotless homes, animal lover homes, elderly homes, families with lots of kids and some with no kids. They, also, come in all shapes, sizes and personalities.
P: A lot of people “spot clean” before a cleaning service arrives, do you recommend this?
S: “Spot Cleaning” is just not the correct wording. The only thing that helps us do a better job, is “picking up and putting up.” We can handle all the cleaning. Sometimes it is hard to know how each and every person prefers to organize their belongings. We can simply spend more time cleaning when we don’t have to spend all our time “picking up and putting up.”
