Man Stole Sewing Machine From Walmart: HSPD

Commenters on the police department's Facebook page had a bit of fun.

HOLLY SPRINGS, GA — Holly Springs police are asking the public's help in identifying a man they say stole a sewing machine from a Holly Springs Walmart.

Police say it was around 1 p.m. on Nov. 27 when the man walked into the Walmart at 2200 Holly Springs Pkwy. and stole the Brothers brand sewing machine, valued about $200. He left without paying for it.

"Hopefully HSPD can stitch together the details and sew the case up," one commenter said.

"Just goes to show how powerful sewing addiction has become," said another.

Police say he was wearing shorts and a green hoodie with white letters on it.

He was driving an older model black and white Mazda Miata.

While police haven't located him yet, one commenter said "He’s gonna needle help getting away with that heist."
