Lilburn Community Garden Education Class

The Lilburn Community Garden will offer it's first Garden Education class free and open to the public on this Saturday, May 18, from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. at the Lilburn Community Garden site. This garden, which opened April 20, is located across the railroad tracks from Lilburn City Park at 76 Main Street.

Each month the garden plans to host an educational class offering organic gardening information by local Master Gardeners and instructors from Gwinnett Techincal College. These future classes will be on June 8, July 13, and August 10 with topics on organic gardening techniques.

The class on May 18 will be "Rid Your Garden of Bad Bags" and will provide organic solutions to common garden pest problems. It will be taught by Tony Gobert, Program Assistant with Gwinnett Technical College Department of Horticulture.
