Gunman Robs Lilburn Wells Fargo, Police Searching for Suspect

Local and state law enforcement are requesting the public's help in identifying and capturing a man who robbed a Wells Fargo bank in Lilburn Monday morning.

At approximately 9:17 a.m., officials said the man walked into the bank, located at 5505 U.S. Highway 29, brandished a silver and black handgun, approached a teller station and announced a robbery, according to an FBI press release.

The robber obtained an undisclosed amount of money and fled the bank on foot, the press release stated.

The suspect is described as a black male, late 20s to early 40s in age, 5’9”- 6’0”, and about 160-170 pounds. Police said he had short- to medium-length hair and was wearing a fake, black beard; a blue, long-sleeved button down shirt; dress fedora-style hat; blue jeans; and gray with blue trim Jordan high-top tennis shoes.
