Lilburn Police Looking for Attempted Burglary Suspect

Lilburn Police are searching for a suspect in connection to an attempted commercial burglary from Friday (July 12).Â
Video surveillance shows that at around 8:24 p.m., a man parked his car at the gas pumps at Cole's Automotive, located at 4955 Lawrenceville Hwy., according to a news release from Lilburn Police spokesman Capt. Thomas Bardugon.Â
The man approached the business, looked inside, and walked back to his car. He then put on a ball cap and gloves and returned to the front door with a pry tool in his hands.
The suspect attempted to force the door open, causing the alarm to sound, Bardugon continued. Hearing the alarm, the suspect ran to his car and left the parking lot.
Police describe the suspect as being be a white man who is approximately 50 years of age with a slight pot belly. He was wearing faded blue jeans, a grayish colored polo-type shirt and white tennis shoes. His vehicle appears to be an older model smaller SUV, possibly a GMC or Chevy, the release continues.
