Lilburn Private School to Hold Grand Opening, Open House
Legacy of Purpose Preparatory Academy, Gwinnett, Inc. provides students with an international education, and it is located at Berkmar United Methodist Church.
An new international school in Lilburn is planning its grand opening this week, as well as an open house and family fun day.
Founded in 2011, Legacy of Purpose Preparatory Academy, Gwinnett, Inc. previously was located in Lawrenceville. Now, it is located at Berkmar United Methodist Church on Pleasant Hill Road.
The academy provides its students an international curriculum, including multicultural and multilingual education in Mandarian, Spanish and French. The community will have the chance to see and learn more about the school at the grand opening and open house this week.

The grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 5. Berkmar United Methodist Church pastor Rev. Wesley Sanders will bless the school, and representatives from the Gwinnett Chamber of COmmerce will also be there. The open house is scheduled for the following day (April 6) at 10 am. to 2 p.m.
"There is a need for quality education for our children to compete on a global scale," said founder and executive director Tarece Johnson Hassell in a statement. "Legacy of Purpose Preparatory Academy, Gwinnett provides educational enrichment in fun and innovative ways.

"Our school will challenge children to do their very best. Our structured international program focuses on cognitive stimulation, multiple areas of intelligences and character development. We prepare our students for a life full of purpose and excellence."
The academy takes children ages 3 to 5 for its preschool. It's elementary education is for grades first, second and third. In addition, the academy provides before- and after-school programs for children up 5 to 16 years old.
