Lilburn's Week Ahead: November 4
Election Day is Tuesday and the Teacher of the Year will be announced this week.
On Monday, the Gwinnett Online Campus will hold an informational meeting for students and parents interested in mid-year registration.
Tuesday is Election Day. There is no city election in the City of Lilburn. There were no challengers for incumbent City Council members Tim Dunn and Eddie Price. Voters in Gwinnett County will vote on a 1% SPLOST. Not sure where you need to go to cast a ballot? Visit the state election's page to find your polling place.
On Thursday evening, Gwinnett County Public Schools will announce their Teacher of the Year at a banquet at the Gwinnett Center. Berkmar Middle School Language Arts teacher Lissette McRea is one of the six GCPS teachers to make it to the final round.
Check out the stars with the Atlanta Astronomy Club at the Lilburn Branch of the Gwinnett County Library Thursday evening. They will talk about outer space before heading out to view the night sky with telescopes.
