Local Dentists Participating in Halloween Candy Buyback
At least one dentist office is participating in the program, which sends care packages to soldiers.
Operation Gratitude will be sending an estimated 60,000 care packages to soldiers, and local dentists have partnered to help.
Last year, the organization received and shippedΒ 125 tons, according to its website.
This year, Lilburn residents can drop of their candy to Kool Smiles, located at 4030 Lawrenceville Highway; or nearby, Oak Road Denistry, located at 2176 Oak Road in Snellville.

Participating denists may give $1/pound for the candy, or other items such as: dental goody bags or special prizes.
In addition to candy, the organization is also asking for toothbrush and toothpaste to include in care packages.
