A Minor Earthquake Reported Monday In Gwinnett County

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — A Gwinnett County woman experienced a mild earthquake Monday, according to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution.

Ilene Strongin-Garry of Lilburn, who told the AJC she’s experienced earthquakes before, said she heard a rumble around 2:40 a.m. Her home shook and that’s when she found safety.

The magnitude 2.06 earthquake was detected by the United States Geological Survey. No injuries have been reported. It occurred just north of the city. The shakes were detected near Burns Road Northwest, near Lawrenceville Highway, reported WXIA.
