Possible Homemade Bombs Found at Lilburn Home
Some people apparently went by the victim's house early one morning and threw two "bottle bombs" in her front yard, with one of them exploding.

Police believe homemade bombs were found in a Lilburn woman's yard earlier this month.
According to the Lilburn Police report, an officer reported to a home off the 200 block of Newport Road near Killian Hill Road last week in response to suspicious activity.
The resident told authorities that she was notified by her neighbor that some people had thrown homemade bombs in her front yard. One of them exploded, too, the report says.

The Lilburn officer saw two plastic Gatorade bottles in the resident's yard. One was intact and contained pieces of charred, rolled-up aluminum foil, and the other had burst open and was lying next to other foil pieces.
"Both bottles appeared to have been 'bottle bombs,'" says the report.

The materials found inside the plastic apparently create a chemical reaction that can cause the bottle to explode.
The neighbor told police that she heard and saw people talking in front of the victim's house around 4:30 a.m. earlier that day. A white SUV and a dark-colored sedan was parked out front, and a white female exited the SUV to talk with someone in the other car.
Moments later she heard an explosion sound as both vehicles sped off. Both cars returned five minutes later, and then sped off again after they threw the second bottle.
Police collected the bottles and foil pieces and attempted to collect fingerprints, but none were seen.Â
