Paramedics checked out the 2-year-old girl and said she was in good health despite her ordeal, according to a police spokesman.

An Atlanta mother is in custody after police say she left her 2-year-old daughter locked in a hot car for almost an hour while she went shopping on Monday afternoon, according to a police spokesman.
Tamisha Upshaw, 37, was arrested and charged with reckless conduct after a security guard patrolling the parking lot of the Kroger on Cascade Avenue discovered a child locked inside a vehicle with the windows rolled up at approximately 3 p.m., Sgt. Greg Lyon told Patch. Police were dispatched to the scene, and the security guard smashed in the car’s window to free the little girl.
