Atlanta Police: Citizens Help Bust Car Criminals In Midtown
Residents helped officers in two separate incidents this week.

MIDTOWN, GA -- Citizens recently helped Atlanta police make six arrests in two separate incidents in Midtown, one involving attempted carjackings and the other involving burglary from vehicles, the department said on Facebook Tuesday.
Both incidents occurred around the Virginia Highlands/Piedmont Park area, police said.
“With the help of alert citizens, officers were able to apprehend and arrest 4 individuals for attempting to take a car at gunpoint and for taking a purse at gunpoint. The weapon and stolen property was recovered," the agency said in the post.

Also that day, residents told officers about two armed suspects who were seen burglarizing cars in Old Fourth Ward.
"Zone 6 officers were alerted by citizens and quickly responded since they were already patrolling the area. The weapon was stolen," police said.
