The newest Braves baseball legend, Chipper Jones, will have his #10 jersey retired during a ceremony at Turner Field on Friday. But just one day ahead of that, Chipper was in Southwest Atlanta at West Manor Park to officially cut the ribbon at their new baseball field named in his honor.
The new field was designed by one of the Braves grounds persons, and is just one of a series of renovated fields the Braves and Chipper will dedicate in the coming months.
As part of his mission to give back to kids, he even spent some of his time with little leaguers during their skill drills.
