News Nearby: Usher's Son Nearly Drowns at a House on Howell Mill Road

According to various news reports, R&B star Usher Raymond's 5 year-old son is in stable condition after nearly drowning at a pool on Howell Mill Road.

Fox 5 reports that around, "2:40 p.m., (Tuesday afternoon) the child got his arm stuck in a drain in the pool at a house on Howell Mill Road."  The boy was being supervised by his niece, who told Fox 5 that she jumped in to try to free the boy from the drain but was unsuccessful.

The boy, Usher Raymond V, remained underwater until 2 nearby construction workers were alerted of the problem and jumped into the pool to free the boy from the drain.

The 5 year-old was rushed to Children's Health of Atlanta at Scottish Rite and directly into intensive care.  He is expected to fully recover.
