Single Vehicle Accident on Youth Monroe Road Sends 18-Year-old to the Hospital
The driver was charged with failure to maintain lane and for a seatbelt violation.

Walton County Sheriffβs deputies and Georgia State Patrol responded to a single vehicle accident on Youth Monroe Road on Thursday, May 16, 2013.
According to Trooper Seymour with the GSP post in Monroe, a 1998 Honda CRV, traveling north on Youth Monroe Road near Raymond Drive, travelled off the right side of the road.
βThe driver over-corrected the vehicle, causing it to go into a counter clockwise spin, then it travelled off the west shoulder and into a creek bed,β Seymour said. βIt struck a tree and overturned in the creek bed.β

Seymour said that the driver was transported to Gwinnett Medical Center and was responsive and talking at the time. She was not wearing her seatbelt, according to Seymour.
βShe said a small red passenger vehicle travelling south had caused her to run off the road to avoid a collision,β Seymour said, adding that they were unable to locate the vehicle. There were no other witnesses.

The victim, Macall Brown, 18, was charged with a seatbelt violation and failure to maintain lane.
