Classic Music and Motor Cars Come to Downtown Monroe

Music and classic car enthusiasts filled the streets of downtown Monroe Saturday for the 8th Annual Classic Car Show presented by BB&T Insurance Services. This classic car show is held every year with participants coming for all over the state. Classic music was provided by DJ Mustang Charlie to go along with the cars that were set up on Court Street, Midland Avenue and Washington Street near the Historic Walton County Courthouse.

By all accounts the show was another success with restaurants reporting an increase in business from the visitors. Karen of Karen's Sweet Confections said she had seen a brisk business in her store, even without having a booth downtown.
