Gas Prices Expected to Continue to Fluctuate — Where's the Cheapest Place to Fill Up in Monroe?
A AAA spokeswoman said positive economic expectations are keeping prices up, while, based on supply and demand, prices should be much lower.
Retail gas prices remained relatively stable last week as oil prices yo-yoed, according to AAA.
“Geopolitical tensions and hopeful economic news are keeping fuel prices elevated," AAA spokeswoman Jessica Brady said in a news release. “Fuel prices should be much lower based on the current state of supply and demand.”

According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in Georgia was $3.44 going into this week, up from $3.41 the previous week. The national average price of regular unleaded gasoline was $3.58, up from $3.52.
