Help Blow Away Cancer with A Charity Ride Saturday
Walton EMCs charity ride to benefit the Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer kicks off at Walton EMC in Monroe at 10:30 a.m.
Don't miss the opportunity Saturday to enjoy a bike ride in the local outdoors while supporting a good cause. Walton EMC's "Blowing Away Cancer" charity ride begins with registration at 9:30 a.m. at Walton EMC, 842 Hwy. 78 NW, Monroe, Ga., 30655. The law-enforcement escorted ride leaves at approximately 10:30 a.m. The ride benefits the Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer.
The event is produced by It’s The Journey, Inc. - a 501(c)(3) charitable organization with a mission to strengthen Georgia’s breast cancer community. All the money raised stays in Georgia. The two-hour ride through the Georgia Piedmont ends where it starts and finishes up with a barbecue lunch and door prizes. The cost to participate is $30 per rider and $40 if you bring a passenger. The cost of entry encludes the meal, ride and a commemorative T-Shirt.
