Police: Hit and Run Suspect Was Late to Drug Court - Canton-Sixes Patch
A Woodstock man has been arrested and charged in connection with a hit-and-run incident that sent a Cherokee Sheriff's Office crossing guard to the hospital.
Sheriff's deputies have arrestedΒ Victor Baruchman, 20, of Woodstock and charged him with felony hit and run. He remains at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center with a $15,000 bond.

School Evacuated After Bomb Threat - Douglasville Patch
Students returned to class Wednesday afternoon at ο»ΏChestnut Log Middle SchoolΒ after a bomb threat caused them to evacuate the school while deputies from theΒ Douglas County Sheriff's DepartmentΒ and bomb-sniffing dogs searched the building.
The threat was emailed to the school's main office at between 10 and 10:30 a.m. Kids were evacuated and parents were immediately notified via their emergency contact method.
