It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas in Monroe
Tis the season of peace and goodwill in the streets of Monroe. Even Santa was in town for Thursday's kick off to Candlelight shopping in downtown Monroe.
Candlelight Shopping got off to a slow start in Monroe on Nov. 29, but there are still three more Thursdays before Christmas. Members of Downtown Monroe are asking that shoppers support the local merchants as they celebrate the joys of the holiday season. Â
Shoppers will have the opportunity to stroll the sidewalks and view the beautiful light displays, visit with Santa, listen to carolers, pet live reindeer and get to fully experience this special time of the year. The stores will be open late again on Dec. 6, 13 and 20, offering more opportunities to shop downtown and experience the sights and sounds of Christmas in Monroe.
