Longhorn Restaurant Planned for Bethlehem

The company hasn't yet closed on the land purchase, but a deal is in the works for Gateway Station in Bethlehem.

A deal to bring a Longhorn Steakhouse to Barrow County is in the works but the company hasn't closed on the land purchase,Β Wayne Bartlett withΒ Maynard and Bartlett Realty GroupΒ wrote in an e-mail to Barrow Patch. This is just the latest development planned for Gateway Station in Bethlehem, just a little way across the Walton County line.

Longhorn Steakhouses are one of several brands under theΒ Darden family of restaurants, which includesΒ Red Lobster, Olive Garden and Bahama Breeze.Β 

If the restaurant opens, it will be part of Gateway Station off Ga. Highway 316, a plannedΒ 14,000-square-foot development.Β Bartlett confirmed Monday a Varsity restaurant will be built at the site. The location will be a "Varsity Junior" and similar in size toΒ Chick-fil-A.Β

The planned development is set to feature a splash fountain similar to the one at Mall of GeorgiaΒ and a clock tower.Β
