Man Claims WCSO and Monroe Police Roughed Him Up

Authorities, however, report that is not the case and have called on the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Walton County District Attorneys Office to review the case.

WSBTV reports that Darrel James, arrested in Walton County on June 5, claims members of Walton County Sheriff's Office and Monroe Police roughed him up and groped him during a traffic stop. James was arrested and charged with two felony obstructions, speeding, marijuana possession and failing to maintain lane.Β

The full dash cam video of the incident is available on WSBTV. In the interview with WSBTV, Monroe Police Chief Keith Glass and Walton County Sheriff Joe Chapman defended their officers.

"They did not violate any policy here at the Sheriff's Office," Chapman said.
